How Does ClearCorrect Straighten My Teeth?

If you want to straighten your teeth, but don't like the idea of bulky, metal braces, then you may be wondering what other options are out there for you.

ClearCorrect is a type of transparent aligner that can be used to give you the beautiful smile you’ve always wanted. But, how do they work exactly, and are they a good fit for you?

Here's everything you need to know about the process.

ClearCorrect: What to Expect

Getting ClearCorrect treatment is quite a straightforward process, given that your oral health is in good condition. If not, the dentist will address those issues first before moving on with the treatment.

First, the dentist will take X-Rays of your teeth to determine the severity of the issue. Then, they will send the impressions to a laboratory where a technician will create 3D models of your teeth. Based on this, the dentist will create a treatment plan and show you how the aligners will shift your teeth into their proper position.

So, How Does It Work?

The ClearCorrect treatment involves multiple phases, during which a new set of aligners will be given to you. As you complete each phase and the dentist checks your progress and makes sure your teeth are moving into the right position, the dentist will give you a new set of aligners. You will go through this process until your teeth are straight and have reached their optimal position.

Depending on the severity of your misalignment, it can take between one to two years to complete the treatment. During this period, you need to wear the aligners for at least 22 hours every day to get optimal results. You can take them off when you are eating or brushing your teeth. You should also clean your aligners and rinse them with warm water to remove any bacteria build-up.

Is ClearCorrect Right for Me?

While a convenient way of getting your teeth straightened, the truth of the matter is that ClearCorrect is not suitable for everyone. If you are dealing with severe misalignments or malocclusions, then you may need traditional braces to achieve your goals.

But, if you have slightly crooked teeth, gaps between your teeth, or a minor bite problem, then you are probably a good candidate for ClearCorrect.
